Frequently asked questions
The Pomodoro Technique is a time-management method created by Francesco Cirillo. It breaks work into focused 25-minute intervals called pomodoros, each followed by a 5-minute break. After completing four pomodoros, you take a longer 15–30 minute break. This rhythm helps sustain concentration and reduces mental fatigue. TimerFlux's built-in Focus preset is designed exactly for this workflow.
Yes. TimerFlux continues counting down when you switch tabs or minimize the browser. When the timer finishes, you will hear the alarm sound regardless of which tab is active. You can also enable browser notifications in the Settings panel to receive an alert even if the sound is muted.
TimerFlux lets you save as many named presets as you need — for example, a 25-minute Focus timer, a 5-minute Break, and a 45-minute Deep Work session. You can switch between them instantly by clicking the card. One timer runs at a time in the main display, which keeps the interface simple and uncluttered."

TimerFlux includes several built-in alarm sounds. You can preview them before setting one as your default, and adjust the volume from 0 to 100% in the Settings panel. Enable Ring until stopped to loop the alarm until you manually dismiss it — useful if you often miss the single chime.
